Soap and Glory Christmas Gifts

Hello, I'm back again; another week, another blog post. As you know, we're now well into December and with under two weeks until Christmas I thought I would do a quick post on some of the Soap and Glory Christmas Gifts from Boots.

The first gift I picked up was the Soap and Glory Glam-O-Flage Kit which at £20, I think is great value (especially since they are all on the 3 for 2 offer) for what is included. It includes some top products like the Supercat Eyeliner, Thick and Fast Mascara and Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss. You also get three shimmery eyeshadows in fairly neutral shades and an illuminating face powder. This was purchased as a gift so I haven't actually tried any of these products myself but I have heard good things about them.

The next product was also bought as a gift and is the Soap and Glory Bright and Bubbly Box which was just £10 and also included in the 3 for 2 offer. This includes four of the popular Soap and Glory products with the original scents.

The third and final product I purchased which was a gift to myself was the Soap and Glory Once Up On A Lime Box. Once again it was £10 and included in the 3 for 2 offer. This is very similar to the previous gift I had picked up only with the Sugar Crush scent. I'm yet to actually use any of the products but I'm sure I will love them!!

Hope you enjoyed this post and I'll see you again on Wednesday! Also let me know if you're a fan of Soap and Glory and wether you prefer the original or sugar crush scent?

What I Got for my 18th Birthday?

Please excuse the fact this post is verging on being two months late but it was my 18th birthday in October.
Before I go on to show you what I got for my birthday I just want to say a disclaimer that everything in this post was received as a gift from either friends or family, I am very grateful for everything and I'm in no way trying to brag. Personally I love reading posts/watching videos about what people receive at birthdays.

This post was a little less wordy but I hope you enjoyed it!

Benefit They're Real Primer Review

Hello there, hope you're Mondays haven't been too bad!

Recently I purchased the December issue of Elle Magazine and with it I received a free sample of Benefits They're Real Primer. I don't believe this product is actually out just yet but I thought I would do a review anyway.

Now normally my eyelashes lack everything you can possibly think off. This is how they started off; as you can see here, there is nothing to them.

Now for the transformation with the They're Real Primer.

Perhaps not the most amazing transformation ever but it's good enough for me. I also love the fact that you can wear the primer with or without mascara.

Overall I would probably give the product 8/10.
The packaging is pleasant; nothing over the top.
The primer is more of a brown shade rather than black, but once you've added a layer of your favourite mascara, you'd never notice the difference.

Sorry about this being such a short post but I hope you enjoyed it and I will see you with another post on Wednesday.

How I Decorate My Room for Christmas?

Hi everyone! So we're now in December which means Christmas is fast approaching and this is my first Blogmas post; how exciting!! This is a little different from what I would usually post but I just wanted to share how I decorate my bedroom at this time of year. As the month goes on I'll try and add more decorations but for now this is it!

The first and probably easiest way to jazz your room up a little bit is a seasonal duvet set, I actually have two but this is one you could probably start using throughout November. It's from Primark and was only £13 but I'm so happy with how it looks!

The second thing which is also fairly cheap if you know where to look is candles! You can't really go wrong with candles, they make your room feel so cosy and smell amazing! I love my Yankee Candles but these two were £1 each from Primark (starting to see a bit of a theme going on here.)

This next candle is also from Primark, and was around £1.50 I think. It's actually a tea light holder but it's super christmassy and adorable.

Now for some festive cushions and throws! I got these three cushions in Asda last year and I don't remember the prices but I'm sure they were under £10 each which is great! I think they look really cute and just add a little character to any room.

The throw is from Primark (again, what a suprise!) Primark have a decent selection of throws with a few festive ones, the prices range between £5-£15 which is amazing value. They look great draped on your bed like this one is just now but it won't be there for too long, they are super soft and cosy. Is it acceptable to live in one of these twenty four seven?

My last essential for my room is lights, and a lot of them! I love fairy lights, I have so many sets of them and love arranging them in different ways.

This is a good old fashioned lava lamp (tbt anyone?) Perhaps not the most festive light addition but it adds a bit of colourful light and some sparkle.

I bought this lantern in Ikea last year for just £3 and I love the cut out star details at the top, the fairy lights are also from Ikea.

Once again we have some more fairy lights. There are actually two sets in this Tesco jar but I think it looks very pretty; almost like fireflies.

Here we have another Ikea product, again with fairy lights. This is just a white lantern/pot, but the cut out details are gorgeous, the photo really doesn't do it any justice but if it's near a wall in the dark, then the wall is lit up with same pattern and it looks very pretty.

Who said fairy lights were just for the christmas tree?

So thats it for today but I hope you enjoyed this post. Maybe this will give someone inspiration for decorating their room in December. Let me know how you like to decorate you're room at this time of year? I'll see you with another new post on Monday.

Sweater Weather Tag

Hello again! Apologies for not uploading last week! I'm back now!!
I am honestly so excited about this blog post, personally I love Tags wether that be watching Youtube videos or reading blog posts! Technically no one has actually tagged me to do this however I was just drifting through the wonder that is the internet and stumbled up on Daisy Chains In The Rain who had done this particular tag and I just couldn't resist jumping on the bandwagon. After all I absolutely love Autumn/Winter, it has to be my favourite time of the year! I'm probably a little late in uploading as it's nearer Winter now but whatever. So here goes...

1. Favourite Scent? - It has to be something that just makes you feel all warm and cosy, and something that reminds you of autumn. Probably something cinnamon.

2. Coffee, Tea or Hot Chocolate? - Coffee can be eliminated immediately as I don't like it (please don't judge) tea is actually my all time favourite drink at any time of year and I couldn't tell you specifically how many cups I have in a day (couldn't or wouldn't.) But theres just something about hot chocolate that makes you feel all warm inside, and from mid September to late January I'll usually have a big mug before bed.
3. What's the best Fall/Autumn memory you have? - I don't really have a specific fall memory but I have lots of photos of me kicking about in the leaves as a toddler so we'll just go with that.
4. Which makeup trend do you prefer; dark lips or winged liner? - I'm actually a huge fan of both but personally I'm more partial to dark lips. It might be something to do with the fact I can't do winged liner to save myself, also winged eyeliner seems acceptable throughout the year whereas dark lips: not so much.
5. Best Fragrance for Fall/Autumn? - I'm not really a massive fragrance wearer but one scent I wore fairly often around this time last year was The Body Shop; Frosted Cranberry.
6. Favourite Thanksgiving/Fall food? - Here in the UK we don't actually celebrate Thanksgiving (kind of wish we did) so my favourite fall food would probably be mince and tatties (made by Mum obvs.)
7. What is Autumn weather like where you live? - I live in Scotland so it's as charming as ever. Very cold, quite windy and very very wet. It's almost the same as the rest of the year, (summer was pretty much non existent this year especially, overall we maybe had a week of summer weather.)
8. Most Worn Sweater? - 11/12 year old me would this question. At that age I almost lived in sweaters and leggings. I've actually just recently ordered a bunch of stylish new jumpers and I'm currently awaiting their arrival so I'll have to get back to you on this one.
9. Must have nail polish this Fall/Autumn? - I rarely paint my nails these days, I normally use gel polish and we have just bought a machine so we can do it ourself so I haven't got any particular nail polish but either something nude or grey or coffee coloured or a deep berry/red shade. I'm so indecisive.
10. Football games or jumping in leaf piles? - I have zero interest in football so definitely jumping in leaf piles.
11. Is Pumpkin Spice worth the hype? - Ok don't shoot me on this one but I actually haven't ever tried a PSL. I don't like coffee so I don't see the point but I may give it a try this year.
12. Favourite Fall/Autumn TV Show? - So long as you are cozied under a trillion blankets with a hot drink of your choice and have autumn candles burning does it really matter? Probably something like The Vampire Diaries or Pretty Little Liars because of the dark, mysteriousness of it all. Although at the moment I'm actually hooked on Once Up On A Time.
13. What song really gets you into the Fall/Autumn spirit? - I feel like I'm going to be really typical here and say Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood but other than that it would have to be Autumn Leaves by Ed Sheeran. Or you could always stick an Autumn playlist on Spotify.
14. Halloween Yay or Nay? - It's a Yay from me! America seems to go all out for Halloween and its not really the same in the UK. I feel like I celebrated it much more when I was younger but whatever I still love the whole idea of getting dressed up and what not.
15. Fall mornings or evenings? - This is a no brainer like evenings duh! No one likes mornings at any time of the year, although I'll admit something does kind of appeal about the idea of a foggy morning walk in the crisp cold air, with the leaves crunching beneath your feet. But considering that's more of a dream than the reality of getting soaked and frozen alive on your walk to school/work I'm definitely sticking with evenings. There's nothing quite like the feeling of coming into the warmth from the cold and knowing you won't have to go out again (until the morning at least.) Having a nice warm bath then getting cosy under blankets with a warm mug of your favourite drink, fall candles burning around you whilst you binge watch a TV show on Netflix.

This post has been one very long ramble but if you've stuck with it, I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you with a new post next week!
